There’s a new midsize van in
the Chrysler lineup. Introducing the 2017 Chrysler Pacifica, an elegant and
contemporary front-wheel-drive midsize van that’s sure to please both adults
and children.
Chrysler has come a long way since it’s first minivan models,
Dodge Caravan and Plymouth Voyager, launched in 1984. The new Pacifica debuted
only last month and first-month deliveries totaled 2,982. Chrysler plans to
phase out the Pacifica’s predecessor, Town & Country, and make this
next-generation midsize van the main feature. The Town & Country was no
stiff though, ranking highest in its segment for three consecutive years in the
J.D. Power U.S. Initial Quality Study. The 2017 Pacifica aims to do the same,
and boasts a wide variety of pleasing features both inside and out.
Seating is a big deal in a vehicle of this size, and the
Pacifica can comfortably seat 7-8 people, with the option to reconfigure seats
in a variety of ways. With the potential for that many passengers, safety comes
into play as well. Luckily the Pacifica offers as many as 100 standard and
optional features according to Chrysler. News like that will definitely put a
smile on mom and dad’s face. Other interior features include storage space, and
8.4-in. touch screen, navigation, Bluetooth, leather, vacuum, video screens,
and surround sound. Add a standard 3.6-liter V-6 engine plus the option to go
hybrid and Pacifica sounds incredibly appealing.
With
an array of goodies, it’s quite possible that Pacifica may appeal to more than
just parents. Think executives, mobile business owners, Uber, and Lyft. Is this
